Since 2009 Mike has been Motorcycle Land Speed Record Racing. He started with the Buell Brother racing team where he worked on and tuned the Drag Specialties FatBook Flyer as well as helped with their other bikes.

It is there he met Jimbo Fischer and his friend (and racing legend) Warner Riley. That relationship led to Mike doing some head work and tuning on the original Grey Ghost a 1974 Ironhead Sportster. Once that was completed Jimbo reclaimed a record he lost the last year the class was open. That record will stand for all time. Following that success the trio began working (as the team of Riley, Fischer, Witt) with S&S on the Gray Ghost II Sportster which is still breaking records.
